about the zine
letters to lovers zine was founded in 2022 as a publication that features letters to lovers in classic but also modern interpretations of the medium.
from prose, to poetry, photography, and art, it seeks to publish the works of young and new artists and writers.
founded and edited by veruschka haas, the zine invokes her love for letters, without the letters necessarily being love letters.
the magazine is inspired by her degree in english literature and passion for epistolary novels, collections of letters, and letters in novels. she started it in an attempt to keep alive a seemingly dying medium, while also exploring how it has shifted and changed in our modern day.
about issue 01
the first issue of letters to lovers zine was published in a limited edition in september 2022 and is available in magazine stores and bookshops across the uk.
the zine's store on etsy has since sold out.
on 64 pages, the zine features the works of 31 writers and artists about the theme of lovers past, present and future.
its layout and design were created by julia szimak and its cover illustration was created by aya mohamed.
about issue 02
the second issue of letters to lovers zine was published in a limited edition in february 2023 and was available in magazine stores and bookshops across the uk.
while it is sold out in the uk, it is still possible to buy a copy in the store.
on 72 pages, the zine features the works of 29 writers and artists about the theme of nostalgia.

the third issue of letters to lovers zine was published in a limited edition in april 2024 and will be available in magazine stores and bookshops across the uk.
on 100 pages, the zine features the works of 39 writers and artists about the theme of beginnings & endings.
split into two parts, it includes a wide variety of pieces—from poetry to prose and visuals.
